Experience
Barefoot, or shod, soundness is my priority.
I don’t just have a passion for my work, but a genuine love of horses. I have my own horses, I don’t ride as often as I’d like but for years I competed on a h/j team, then moved onto breaking young warmbloods in Canada and eventually started my own mare. My wife happens to be a very picky horsewoman with two special needs horses, so I’d like to think I know what’s important to horse owners.
My experience?
I started my career in early 2014, following another farrier from Zanesville, Ohio. I learned a lot from a little over a year as his apprentice. But before this, I spent two years taking a pre-vet program focusing on equines. This is where I learned about anatomy.
I’ve been trimming and shoeing part time in Central Ohio for awhile now before deciding to go full time. I’ve serviced equines of all breeds and disciplines. Donkeys and mules as well. Even a few sheep and goats here and there. I’ve trimmed for quite a few nonprofit programs and vets in the area as well. I’m constantly wanting to further my education. Hopefully I can help you and your equines needs.
